“You don’t have to say a word. Allow your style to speak for you.”
Hi Happy 2018! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Year’s! In this post I am discussing my favorite casual winter outfits. The shoes were not included because I wanted to take some close up shots and talk about them in depth on another post.
Hopefully these looks will inspire you and give you ideas for winter outfits that are easy to put together and provide a level of comfort while looking stylish 🙂 I have included links to most of the items if they are still available.
Off the Shoulder Sweater
I love wearing my tops off the shoulder so it was only natural that I order a few sweaters that can be worn off the shoulder during the winter season. This oversized fit v-neck sweater is from Boohoo and I ordered 4 different colors during the black friday sale.
My ideal way to style these is with jeans but you can always kick things up a notch and tuck these inside a skirt if you are going out to a party, date or event. I also wore my long camel coat which I absolutely love because it complements my skin tone well and feels super soft.
Jacket and Tee
I live in Texas so thankfully we don’t get a “real” winter just a few weeks of bitter cold. On the days when the weather is around 55-60 degrees I am good with just throwing on a thick jacket. With this look I am pairing together a camo jacket with a t-shirt starring a super popular netflix show Stranger Things.
The Sweater Dress
Sweater dresses are a lifesaver when you want to dress up but refuse to wear a thin piece of fabric when it’s below 40 degrees outside. Although I have worn these with ankle boots before my preference is to style sweater dresses with over the knee boots.
In the photo I am styling this grey sweater dress with over the knee boots from Daisy Street. I decided to wear the dress over jeans instead of tights because I wanted to try something different. The statement piece adds a touch of glamour to the look.
Sweater Dress: Forever 21
Coat: Topshop (sold out)
Necklace: Target (Sugarfix by Bauble Bar)
Boots: Asos (Daisy Street brand)
I love big fluffy sweaters! This glittery sweater from H&M is so comfortable and far from boring. I paired this sweater again with one of my favorite coats and a pair of ripped denim to give it a little bit of edge.
Sweater: H&M (Green Color)
When it’s freezing cold and windy, being comfortable and covering my head becomes a big priority. On those days I love to just throw on an oversized hoodie with some jeans. The good thing about this look is not only is it comfortable you can also make it less boring and dress it up with a pair of ankle boots or sandals with socks.
Hoodie: CottonOn (similar)
